My Unique Tomica Toyota Hilux Bigfoot 4WD
I have a quite unique collection of Tomica, that is Tomica Toyota Hilux Bigfoot 4WD. Different from my previous post about my Mitsubishi PET Leo that are included in Limited Vintage series, this Toyota Hilux is included in regular series.
The uniqueness of this Toyota Hilux is the series number. On the box, it is written 61, but on the base of the model, it is written 3. I haven’t got information about this, so if you know why this unusual numbering can be occurred, please let me know.
I believe the ‘3′ goes back many years ago when TOMY produced a separate series of Bigfoot type vehicles using then current castings. I remember a Land Cruiser and Mitsubishi Jeep were also part of the series. These had to receive new bases to handle the oversize tires. Obviously this was #3 in this special series.
